New Year and a Veganuary Workplace

You can’t miss the messages about ‘planet friendly’ diets with shops of all sizes promoting their range of vegan products in January. The response to the annual Veganuary challenge to adopt a vegan diet for 31 days has grown steadily since initiated in 2014 with 580,000 people signed up last year from 209 countries worldwide. The supporting website offers information to get you started with places to eat, recipes and shopping guides.

A recent addition to the individual pledge, the Veganuary Workplace Challenge has been launched to  ask businesses to try vegan for January. Colleagues and teams can join in whether based in work or working from home. Companies participating in 2021 included Marks and Spencers, Tesco and O2. The approach suggests a “workplace champion”, ideas to get your colleagues engaged and the benefits of a plant-based diet for their health and the planet.

Anyone who signs up to the pledge will receive a Veganuary Celebrity Cookbook, as well as 31 days of helpful support straight to their inbox including information on nutrition, shopping, eating out and special offers.
